Why Install a Miniwheels & Pump Track?

Popular

The popularity of scooters with children continues to grow.  It is a very active and accessible sport.  It is a great way for children to exercise while they are having fun.

Versatile

MiniWheels parks, designed for all wheel types, offer unique benefits and experiences distinct from traditional skateparks. These parks compliment play areas perfectly as younger children often arrive on their scooter – which then has to be abandoned due to lack of facilities. Imitation road markings can be created using marking lines on the tarmac to enhance the play value.

Combination

MiniWheels parks can also be installed next to a main skatepark to allow safe and enjoyable fun for younger, less experienced wheeled users.

A MiniWheels park offers:

Design for the sport: MiniWheels Parks are purpose-built with scooter riders in mind. They feature elements, ramps, and obstacles optimised for scooter tricks and manoeuvres, providing a more tailored and enjoyable experience for scooter enthusiasts. The transitions and ramps are lower and slower than standard skatepark equipment.  The rollover and flatbanks are also designed with the low wheel base of the scooter in mind.

Safety and accessibility: MiniWheels Parks often cater to a younger audience, including children and beginners. They tend to have a safer and more controlled environment compared to skateparks, making them suitable for riders of all ages and skill levels.

MiniWheels Parks encourage the younger riders to take risks and develop their skills.  Currently their only option is to visit the skateparks with older riders or ride on the roads.  This can lead to some conflict as the younger users have not yet developed the sense of skatepark etiquette or perceptual skills to use the larger skateparks safely.

Designed for beginners and inclusivity: MiniWheels Parks typically have a less intimidating atmosphere for newcomers to the sport. This encourages beginners to feel comfortable and progress at their own pace without the pressure of experienced skateboarders or BMX riders.

Family-friendly environment: MiniWheels Parks often attract families looking for a recreational outing. Parents can watch their children ride in a secure space, making it a family-friendly destination for inclusive fun.

Community Building: Dedicated MiniWheels Parks foster a strong sense of community among scooter riders. These parks become gathering places for enthusiasts to meet, share tips, and collaborate on tricks, leading to social interactions and friendships.

Reduced Congestion: By separating MiniWheels Parks from skateparks, you reduce congestion and conflicts between different types of riders. This minimises the potential for accidents and provides a safer experience for everyone.
